Philip Stark received a BFA from Pennsylvania State University with majors in photography and cinematography. He worked as first assistant to Irving Penn before opening his studio on West 29th Street in New York City.
His clients include ABC, BBC, Bill Moyers, Cheech Marin, Chris Squire , E! Entertainment, Idina Menzel, Johnny “Rotten” Lydon, Kool & The Gang, Los Angeles Times, Lincoln Center, L’Oréal, New York Times, PBS, Puma, Revlon, Salomon Brothers, Scott Kay, Sports Illustrated, Washington Post.
Mr. Stark also lectures extensively throughout the United States and abroad. More recently, his lectures have been presented across the country to universities including Yale Graduate School, University of North Carolina School of the Arts, University of Colorado Graduate School, with an emphasis on the psychology of portraiture.
